MMH Playroom works
| Esther's report on one of the children that comes to the playroom. Mercy is a 5 year old girl that is admitted with burns; “mercy has greatly improved. She is in the hospital since last year December. She enjoys playing with the musical toys, puppets, and dollies. Apart from playing Mercy also learns, she now knows all the shapes, numbers, and letters. She is able to identify and master everything that I've taught her. Most of the nurses are impressed with her performance despite being bed ridden. Playing has also encouraged Mercy in a lot of things especially with her speech and exercising her muscles and brain. She has started standing now and trying to walk. The nurses now allow her to go to the playroom. The first time she was anxious and smiling a lot which is good for her. Now that she goes to the playroom the mother is happy and positive now that her daughter is fine”. |
